AirPlay is out and it’s the killer feature I predicted for AppleTV 2 and less. Less because at the moment it only works with 2 apps. You an see a demo of what works and what doesn’t over at Gizmodo (shudder) and read John Gruber’s theory about what’s going on here.
But if Plex can get their iPad app to work with AppleTV 2 then suddenly we’ll have BBC iPlayer and a host of other goodies like TED available for streaming. With AirPlay and an iPhone or iPad or iPodTouch Apple will have the killer tv appliance that everyone has been searching for. Simple, easy and cheap and they’ll sell a billion of them.
